Intelligere SCS RC1
We are pleased to announce the new release of the new release of Intelligere SCS, a complete web conference system released open source.
In the next month a demo space will be arranged and published on the web, in the meanwhile the old web demo is still in place here (login as admin admin), the new space will provide free space and account for all the userS!
The new features are:
- A control panel in order to handle sessions duration, speakers, user accounts and in order to manage invitation (php adn MySql)
- The Flex to PPT converter now use Open Office so it’s no more needed the Microsoft Office license on the server or the .NET support
- The screen sharing has been improved and debugged (30% faster than before)
- The documentation has been improved (three different manuals in two different languages)
- The file transfer between connected client has been added, it uses the Flash Player 10 new features
- The software is compliant with the Flex 3.4 SDK
- The RED5 synchronization and streaming support has been re-engineered and improved (RED5 RC1 compliant)
- All the major bug have been fixed

Hi,
I’ve been trying to get Intelligere working and all works like a dream except for the Desktop Sharing. It tries to download the Download Manager but it is not available on your Server “http://www.intelligere.info/drupal/intelligerescs1.0/scs/IntelligereDownloadManager.exe”
I have found the download manager on the local distribuited files but it still tries to connect to your web site for updates and it does not work.
Do you have a local version I can try ’till this is fixed ?

E-learning, como modelo de educación, representa una alternativa que va más allá de las fronteras, dentro de las investigaciones desarrolladas en la unidad de videoconferencias, nos encaminamos hacia el mundo en donde los encuentros virtuales en post del conocimiento forman redes sociales que permiten la proliferar nuevos ejes cognoscitivos.
Dentro de este gran campo, presentamos Intelligere (Open Source), una alternativa en la que está trabajando la unidad de videoconferencias, el objetivo primordial; brindar comunicación directa basándose en el modelo E-learning, para mejorar las condiciones educativas de las personas y la sociedad en general. Desarrollado en plataformas Open Source, Intelligere y sus creadores (Giorgio Natili, Marco Fusetti@gnstudio.com), han logrado conformar una interfaz amigable y fácil de utilizar en donde los componentes brindan un espacio alternativo de aprendizaje.
Intelligere es una herramienta de comunicación OPEN SOURCE, elaborada en PHP, JAVA, FLEX, Utilizando el servidor RED5 para lograr interactividad (Logrando compartir Power Point, Remote Desktop, Shared Desktop).
Durante los últimos seis meses se ha logrado conformar una estación de trabajo, creando escenarios de pruebas con cada uno de los componentes de Intelligere. Se inicio con el componente de administración de sesiones, creando una base de datos que permita registrar cada uno de los usuarios del sistema, posteriormente se procede a la configuración del server RED5, con el módulo de conversión de JAVA, pptconvert-java, inicializando el “deamon” de OPENOFFICE con el cual trabaja para acceder a documentos ppt. Concluidas estas configuraciones se debe realizar un pequeño ajuste en web server APACHE, para permitir el acceso de la aplicación al smtp de Apache, de esta forma poder enviar las notificaciones (mail) a los usuarios que integran cada una de conferencias creadas por el administrador del sistema.
Cada una de las tareas descritas brevemente son indispensables para el buen desempeño de Intelligere, el software base, JAVA, RED5, PHP y Mysql, deben contener rutas (PATH) sin espacios de ésta forma se garantiza el éxito de la instalación.

Any question.. How is the value of TTL, because in my satellital Network this abort every 1 minute, this happens when I start the video and audio, according to some networking experience, this occurs when the TTL value is low..
